Ah the summer holidays, I am in the ‘dread them’ camp. I find it really hard to entertain my two little ones during the 6 weeks holidays as our usual haunts are off limits as they are either insanely busy and big kids tend to knock over my little kids. So this year I have planned almost every weekend (I particularly hate the weekend) bar the last one to ensure we are not left climbing the walls. The last two weekends have been spent in my home town of Bristol with friends and family and here are the photos of our two weekends away..
I cannot tell you how excited I am about this coming Friday. I am going out out into my home town of Bristol with 4 lovely ladies who know me better than I know myself. The last time we did it was nearly 18 months ago! We finally all live in the same country again so hurrah for that. This photo is 3 of the 5 of us circa, oh I don't know…95?! Ok it's probably early, actually.
Circa a week a go I posted a picture of the three of us circa 95, here we are almost 25 years later. We talk almost daily, all have very different lives and we can not see each other for months but it is always like no time has passed when we do. These two (and the other two not shown) will always be my best buds #biglove ♥️
Well today has been a strange one… after going to bed at 3am after a night out with my oldest friends (🎉) and then getting up 5 hours later the day looked bleak and long. We went to a slightly strange, crappy, farm in Weston and Clevedon seafront. The kids were non stop loving it and I didn't feel too deathly. We did have to spend a considerable amount of time at the doctors as the girl is covered head to toe in angry looking rash. She's got the all clear and she's taking it like a champ but it's not the nicest looking thing to have on your, everywhere!
Oooh moody Mondays, although this was actually Sunday. We're back after a busy but amazing weekend in Bristol with family and friends, prepare for some photo spam. I didn't even post it instantly and Instagram would suggest you do as I was too busy just being with said friends and family. This is Clevendon pier, the sea is pretty manky looking but it's still Nanny Pat's daily view, ney bad eh?
One of the real sad things about not living in my home town is that my two miss out on all the cousin fun. I grew up with mine and my little ones absolutely adored cousin Ben this weekend. He also entertained them alllll day and went on all the park and soft play malarkey leaving my feet firmly on the ground. Could definitely do with more of that cousin action!
Wall goals. Now how's that for a wall. Spent last night in an unexpectedly fabulous wine bar and restaurant. You could have been anywhere, felt like I was in the middle of Paris not Clevedon. Had wonderful tapas and of course wonderful bubbles and cocktails. The unexpected best part, I had zero signal so I couldn't spend it on my phone. The night ended in a not so swanky pub playing pool which would have been fine had not lost…
We went to @puxtonpark_official again today and took daddy along with us. He was very impressed, and not much impresses him. Once again the kiddos loved it – people of the South West if you're looking for a good day out with the little ones then this is your place! All cream crackered now and settling down for an night of @2017iaafworldchampionships #epicnightahead #motime #boltdown
