When it comes to gifts I am a bit of try hard. Or at least I used to be. I always like to give something personal, useful and unique. I don’t always get it spot on, there was the Christmas of 2012 where I brought My Tammy a leather jacket making him like a T Bird, the step-daughter has been no stranger to a toothbrush/toothpaste combo as a stocking filler – I know imagination lacking or what. She loved that one.
So with that in mind summer is pretty much here, apparently, the weather hasn’t had the message yet summer is here. That means it is wedding season, and with weddings come bad dancing, bubbly and gifts, lots of gifts for all involved. If you are attending a wedding you will need to buy a gift for the bride and groom, perhaps a gift for a hen party. If you are the ones getting married, chances are you will need gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsmen. Let the headache begin. So I have a few gift options to tide you through wedding season and then some. I am talking father’s day, birthdays, anniversary you name I have it, courtesy of uncommongoods.com
Uncommongoods.com is an American based (but U.K. delivering) online retailer that is home to the best ideas for men, women and kids. They offer thousands of unique and unusual gifts, from fun jewelry and cool accessories to creative home decor and kitchen items. They focus on sustainability for the environment and looking after their staff at all levels. I love the ethos behind this company and the gifts themselves.
So without further ado here is a sample of some of the offerings;
These range from, chopping boards, flutes, tumblers, plaques and guest books to personalised prints. There is a wide selection of prints that would be a fabulous keepsake for any couple, this one is my fav.
We’re on count down now, we have days maximum. Yeah I am a little behind on know that one too. Uncommon goods have a wide-ranging stock of unique gifts for men. I have found (yes another) beautiful print that would make the perfect gift for any day. I have also selected this wooden iPhone charging dock. Chargers remain more valuable than car keys in our house, so this would be a welcome addition.
Chances are you going to go to a baby shower at some point and aside from the usual nappies and baby grows, which let me tell you are incredibly useful Uncommon Goods have a section of beautiful gifts for any baby shower. By way of example I have chosen this gorgeous necklace for mama, because mama never get the gifts at a baby shower and a functional and practical play and go storage mat. It will certainly come into it’s own when they little ones start accumulating stuff, and boy will they accumulate a lot of stuff. Take it from someone who has accumulated enough stuff to rival a toy shop.
The gifts don’t end here, there are gifts for every occasion to fit all price ranges and budgets. So whether it is sentimental, humour, novelty or practical you are after uncommongoods.com has it all.
What do you think? Do you struggle for inspiration? Have you made a purchasing faux pas? Have you used uncommon goods before? I’d love to hear from you.
