We have never shied away from our love of travel on this blog, both before and after having children. We travel slightly differently now granted but we still travel. Mr Tammy has always had a penchant for staying in hotels, so much so he tried to divert the birth of my first-born to a hotel over the hospital (yes really). Pre kids we would often just go away for the night, not necessarily anywhere far or overly special, he just liked getting away for the night. The luxury of having your breakfast cooked for you, the novelty of somewhere different, the comfort of housekeeping, fresh sheets and soft towels and cuddly baths robes. It is something I know he misses about our pre child life as whilst we do still travel, nice hotel rooms aren’t always on the agenda these days, at least not quite as much.
So with that in mind, when we were offered two luxurious bundles, a towel set and a bath robe to try out in our home it wasn’t a difficult decision. We were sent a 6 piece Bamboo Bale complete with 2 Face Cloths, 2 Hand Cloths, 1 Bath Towels and 1 Bath sheet and a luxury Egyptian Cotton Dressing gown.
Now I hadn’t heard much about Bamboo until recently when my Nan brought me some Bamboo socks from a visit to Australia, well what a revelation. It is the softest material I have come across. My feet are on cloud 9. So when I received the towel bundle that are 50% bamboo and 50% cotton I was pretty impressed. So a little bit about bamboo, it is one of the most eco-friendly and sustainable sources of fibre in the world, an important quality to everyone in today’s world, except Mr Trumpevidently. Moreover when coupled with high quality cotton it is incredible soft, and lightweight. Further the wicking effect of these towels make them extremely absorbent with anti-fungal properties to keep the towels more hygienic and odour free for longer. So that’s nice.
From my experience with these towels they are as impressive as they sound. They are the softest towels I own and have ever owned. The bath sheet is my favourite, it is large and very absorbent, it is perfect for wrapping up in after a warm shower. What I love about them, is not just their softness but how lightweight they are. I have a few very large and chunky towels, but they are heavy especially when wet, take a long time to dry and take up a lot of space. What surprised me about this towel collection is that for such a large and absorbent towel they fold up small and are easily portable. They are perfect for taking with you on your travels, for the whole family as they don’t encroach on that all important luggage space, yet you not compromising on quality.
I have used the hand towels in the shared bathrooms and guests have actually commented on them, asking where they came from. My Nan has taken one home (without negotiation, I guess I did pay for those socks in the end) and Mr Tammy has bagged a face cloth. They are also perfect for wrapping up your babies, or not so little ones after a warm bath. I know I can’t be the only one who loves to wrap up their small people in a huge soft towel after a bath? Suffice to say this collection has been a hit. Practically I am also pleased to report that having used them for 3 weeks now, they do not lose their quality when washing. I would have no hesitation in recommending these bundles to anyone. They are available in 6 different colours so could suit any interior. They are sleek and stylish and add a touch of elegance to any bathroom.
I was also gifted a luxury Dressing Gown. This dressing gown just screams hotel luxury. It is a Terry Towelling Cotton Bathrobe, that is made with 100% Egyptian cotton. It certainly presents the look and feel of a hotel gown. It is a hooded and is perfect for drying your hair after a warm shower. It is weighty, soft and fluffy and automatically makes me reminiscent of hotel stays. It is brilliantly comfortable and perfect for snuggling down with a hot drink and good film. That said, Mr Tammy has (again) laid claim to this, royally throwing his toys out of the pram when I dared to refuse, so my days of wrapping up and snuggling down are somewhat limited, apparently.
Sooo the weather has been absolutely gorgeous out and I have spent the last two days in my pit with my first ever migrane. It was like nothing else, and I've had two babies without an ounce of gas and air. Man was it painful and I am glad to see the back of it. It did however give me a reason to spend 48 hours in my new Luxury Egyptian Cotton drawing gown curtesy of @thetowelshop I must say luxury is not an exaggeration. So much so Mr Tammy has stolen it from me, spitting his dummy out of the pram when I tried to decline. I did tell him to enter my #giveaway coming up on the blog next week however patience isn't his strong point.
