This one is a little off piste for me, I have a tendency to be a bit on the sarky side, or just narky. I have written posts about my gripes of motherhood, and whinged about the bad days. I am no stranger to a bad mood and like a good old moan. Well I thought I did anyway, that was until I met Mr Tammy he can put my moaning to shame but that is a story for another day.
Despite this I do have some positive qualities, I try to always see the good in people, and situations. I try maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle and am always in search of the next adventure, fun, happy or experience. I am generally a happy person who tries to keep the dark clouds at bay. Life is for living.
So in a bid to try and keep the skies clear I have joined up with Karen from Two Tiny Hands and Katie from Mummy in a Tutu and started a little Pinterest community called The Positive Moment Project in a view to keep our positive in check.
The idea is simple we add as many pins as possible/want over the week, be it a favourite quote, a blog post about happiness/positivity, a photo of a positive moment, you name it we’ll enjoy it. We only ask that for every pin you add please re-pin 3 others. It’s a lot but we want to spread the happiness around! If you’d like to join the board please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
So I know what you might be thinking, it might be sounding a bit wishy washy ‘ooh let’s put a happy quote on the web or a happy clappy photo and be happy‘. A few years back I would have said the same. Now though, having come out the other side of some stormy days in the past I can recognise and appreciate the importance of highlighting the good.
I have been taking part in The Positive Moment Project for about two weeks now and I can honestly say it is helping already. It’s been a difficult few days of late and I haven’t been feeling overly positive. So much so it inspired this pin
Despite the crap storm I felt I was wadding through, it allowed me to take stock. To see something positive and that has an infinite ability to make my insides smile. That even when you are feeling down you are not out and there is always something to make you smile – you just have to see it. That is why I am falling in love with this Pinterest Board. So Karen and Katie thank you for involving me and helping me keep the happy.
Please feel free to come and join us, we’d love to have you and see your happy too.
