#FamilyFun…Week 10

#FamilyFun…Week 10

Well hello and welcome back to week 10 of #FamilyFun, now where have those 10 weeks gone? Mega thank you to all of you who take part – big love from the #FF team.

Anyway so its been a week full of lurgy in my house. Mr Tammy was nearly killed off by it, standard. Now the babies are snotty and gunky eyed and I have a head full of cotton wool. Oh.The.Joys. Ever fuelling my fire to emigrate to sunnier climes… now I know that won’t cure the common cold but it will mean I can avoid this cold, dark, damp, indoor season upon us.

Prior to the strike of the mum flu I did manage to go on a Mini First Aid Course this week, ran by none other than Mini First Aid, if I could recommend one thing to do as parents this would be it, but more on that another day. We also had a child free afternoon which was spent in bed watching Suits. Yep you read that right, productive eh. Finally I was lucky enough to accompany my brummie bestie to Tamworth Business Awards – we had a fab night, drinking prosecco (obviously) and cheering on local businesses – of which my Bestie was one – more on that another time too.

So back to the linky, it was another stellar week of linkies with a great mix of posts. As always I was torn in choosing my post but I have gone for How To Entertain Your Child When You’re Ill by Adventures With J. I really felt for Laura looking after her son without a voice and no hubby or mum available to help her. My goodness though she made the most of it and shared some amazing and inspired activities to entertain your little ones. Honestly Laura, I take my hat off to you. So much so she inspired me to go buy some masking tape and follow suit by sticking it to the floor to make a road for my daughter to push her cars along. Being a bit of a moron however my attempt did not go down quite so well. Long story short I used double sided sticky tape to make said road. Yep thats right. So when I went to peel it off the floor all I did was expose the sticky and was left with a track of sticky tape ALL along my floor. Cue the next hour steaming, cleaning, scrubbing and swearing to get it off before Mr Tammy came home. Like I said, MORON.

The winner of the vote is the gorgeous Helen from Just Saying Mum with What Even Is That Look? Helen has a fabulous blog detailing life with three teens and I think this post sums it up perfectly. I felt as though I was in the car with Helen and co reading this post and could picture the scene perfectly, it certainly gave me a glimpse into my future. If you haven’t already please do check out this post, it won’t fail to make you chuckle.

Please feel free to grab the badge guys.
So looking to this week

  • Ooh thank you so much for selecting my post as your favourite last week ☺ I think your double sided tape episode is hilarious!! Normally the sort of thing I would do!! To be honest it wasn’t as easy as I had imagined getting masking tape off the carpet either… at least not after a week of it being well trodden in! Definitely helped pass the time while I was ill though! Thanks again xx

  • OMG! So much work for you. Sometimes, experiments fail and its fine. I too liked Laura’s post. Hats off to her really. Happy to link up.
