Hello and welcome to week three of #FamilyFun. We had another great week with lots of really fab posts to read.
It’s been a busy week here at the Casa de Tammys’ – I celebrated becoming a year older at Thomas Land in Drayton Manor with the kiddies. Yep not even my birthday is for me anymore, rather the the little people, but it was a lovely day and night and truth me told I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Watching the kids have SO much fun totally made it – do you want some cheese with that? We also had a nice visit from Nanny Pat, which is always a happy time for me and Mr Tammy and I got one of those much coveted nights out. So all in all its been a good week.
Anyway back to the linky, thank you so much for taking part. I have always been a bit ambivalent about hosting a linky but two weeks in all my concerns are out the window, I have truly very much enjoyed reading your posts. For me my featured post this week was Rollercoaster – Living with a Jude. This post really resonated with me and touches upon a post I wrote a little while back. Being a parent is hard, but being a parent to a child with additional needs is often incomprehensible until you have lived through it. Reading this post made me want to pop round with cake wine and give Alice some respite. Having grown up with a disabled brother and watching my mum day to day as his parent and carer I can really relate to Alice’s post. I sincerely hope you get the additional hours you need. Turning to the winner of the vote – this weeks winner is Escaping the Rat Race by the Topsy Turvey Tribe. This was an inspiriting post that I am sure many of us could be envious of. After some very difficult times this family packed up their lives and escaped to the continent for a new life. Good on them, I love following the Topsy Turvey Tribe and their adventures, they do have a skill for putting things in perspective.
